花開堪折直須折，
莫待無花空折枝。

I'd like to discourage you from indulging in your robes made of golden threads,
I'd like to encourage you to cherish and honour your youthful days.
Make your picking when flowers are in bloom,
Wait not till out of bloom to pick on twigs and sprigs in vain.
