I've come far to bid you farewell,
Staying behind with the blue mountains is my reluctance to see you go.
When could we again enjoy a drink together?
Like we did last night under the moon's glow.
People from as far as neighbouring counties have come to pay tribute,
For you are an officer of honour having served three emperors in a row.
Back to a riverside township I shall return by myself,
To survive the rest of my humble life with loneliness in tow.
