Among clouds in the colour of dawn, from Baidi I take my leave,
Though hundreds of miles away, Jiangling is within a day's reach.
From both sides of the gorge come incessant howling of gibbons and monkeys,
My skiff white water cleaves leaving behind thousands of mountain peaks.
